Landmine Expedition 2001 started from England August 21st and goes through some of the world's most heavily mined countries, ending in China in the second quarter of 2002. After leaving England, the European leg of the expedition takes us through France, Switzerland, Italy, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Yugoslavia, the Kosovo province, Macedonia, Albania and Greece.

From Greece a ferry takes us to Egypt from where we continue to Jordan and north to Syria and Turkey. After this we hope, conditions permitting, to continue through Iran to Pakistan. We will then cross into India and ship the vehicle from there to Malaysia.

The expedition then continues north through Thailand, Laos and Cambodia and ends in Shanghai in China, from where the vehicle will be shipped back to the UK.
Given the tragic recent events in the US we continue to monitor the situation in the countries we will be visiting. For the time being, we are pushing on and hope to contine through the Middle East.
